Ravens vs. Falcons results: Ravens lead all-time regular-season series, 5-2; Ravens lead all-time preseason series, 7-4.

Notable: The Ravens are 71-35 in all-time preseason play, posting a 44-15 mark under coach John Harbaugh, who is in his 17th season in Baltimore.

What to Watch

Ravens’ offensive line: The Ravens are still trying to figure out who will start on the offensive line. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley and center Tyler Linderbaum are the only returning starters, which means the Ravens have to fill both guard positions and right tackle. Andrew Vorhees appears to be the front-runner at left guard. Daniel Faalele, Ben Cleveland, and Sala Aumavae-Laulu are competing to be the starter at right guard. Pat Mekari and rookie Roger Rosengarten are the top candidates to become the starter at right tackle. Linderbaum is dealing with a soft tissue injury and has been sidelined. Cleveland has taken the snaps at center and Harbaugh has been pleased with the performance. This game should add more clarity to the situation.

Continued development of secondary: The Ravens have a deep secondary despite losing Arthur Maulet to a short-term knee injury. Rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins also won’t play as he recovers from a shoulder issue. This game is a good opportunity for the Ravens to show their depth in the secondary. Pepe Williams will look to build on his previous game when he had a sack from a cornerback blitz. Jalyn Armour-Davis is also having a solid training camp and will look to further establish himself as a major contributor.

Improvement from the backup quarterbacks: The Ravens’ backup quarterbacks, Josh Johnson and Devin Leary, struggled in the first preseason game against Philadelphia. Johnson was 4-for-12 for 62 yards and a 51.4 rating. Leary was 6-for-19 for 37 yards (67.5 rating). Lerary scored the Ravens’ only touchdown on a 1-yard sneak with 5:46 left in the fourth quarter, which tied the game, 13-13. The Ravens will need more production from the backups and show they can run the offense if Lamar Jackson is not in the game.
