OWINGS MILLS — One day after submitting their 53-man roster, the Ravens added 15 players to their practice squad.
Most of the players had exceptional days during training camp and/or played well in the preseason games.
Here is the Ravens’ 2024 practice squad:
Offensive tackle Corey Bullock
Analysis: Bullock played in 42 games (38 starts) in a five-year collegiate career that began with four years at North Carolina Central (2019-22) and one year at Maryland (2023). He was ranked as the second-highest pass-blocking guard in the Big Ten by Pro Football Focus. He adds depth to a valuable position.
Running back Chris Collier
Analysis: Collier had 1,393 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns in 11 games last season at Division II Lock Haven. He showed potential and a good burst, especially late in training camp. Collier led the Ravens in the preseason with 82 yards on 28 carries.
Running back John Kelly
Analysis: Kelly has experience and has played six years in the NFL. He could be active for Week 1 in Kansas City if rookie No. 3 running back Rasheen Ali isn’t ready because of a stinger.
Cornerback Bump Cooper Jr.
Analysis: The Oregon State product showed solid speed and coverage skills. The Ravens have a deep secondary, but Cooper could get an opportunity if he keeps developing.
Cornerback Ka’dar Hollman
Analysis: Hollman was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 2019 NFL draft. He bounced around to a couple of different teams before signing with the Ravens in March. Hollman adds depth at cornerback.
Wide receiver Malik Cunningham
Analysis: Cunningham made the switch from quarterback to wideout seamlessly. Cunningham was a long shot to make the 53-man roster, but he caught the attention of his coaches with a solid training camp.
Wide receiver Keith Kirkwood
Analysis: Kirkwood is entering his seventh season. He’s caught 24 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns over his career for the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. Kirkwood has the potential to make plays for the Ravens this season.
Wide receiver Anthony Miller
Analysis: Miller signed with the Ravens on August 11th and made an immediate impact. The former second-round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2018 caught four passes for 25 yards on 30 offensive snaps for the Ravens this preseason. He could be elevated from the practice squad this season.
Wide receiver Dayton Wade
Analysis: The rookie from Mississippi was a dark horse to make the roster after some big plays in the preseason. Wade led the Ravens with seven receptions for 99 yards in the preseason and caught a 56-yard touchdown pass.
Guard Darrian Dalcourt
Analysis: Dalcourt appeared in eight games (five starts) in 2023, missing two games because of injury for Alabama last season. The Ravens like his athleticism and are confident he can develop into a solid NFL player.
Linebacker Joe Evans
Analysis: Evans was a workhorse during the preseason and might have come close to making the roster. Last season, he led Iowa with 9 1/2 sacks, 10 quarterback pressures, and 13 1/2 tackles for loss. It’s likely Evans will play in a Ravens regular-season game in the near future.
Tight end Qadir Ismail
Analysis: He is the son of former Ravens wide receiver Qadry Ismail and made steady improvement throughout training camp after beginning his collegiate career as a quarterback. He has the size — 6 feet 4, 247 pounds — and speed to play in the NFL, His blocking skills have also improved.
Quarterback Devin Leary
Analysis: The sixth-round pick struggled in the preseason finale with two interceptions and two fumbles, but he showed good arm strength at training camp. The Ravens are confident he can develop into a solid quarterback.
Defensive end C.J. Ravenell
Analysis: Ravenell had 45 tackles, 11 for loss, and three sacks at Missouri Western last season. He has a solid work ethic and is a developmental player.
Inside linebacker Josh Ross
Analysis: Ross is in concussion protocol after being involved in a car accident. He originally signed with the Ravens practice squad in 2022 and has appeared in five games, Ross had eight tackles during the preseason and will likely see action in the regular season at some point this season.
