Ravens Week 6 Report Card vs. Commanders

BALTIMORE — The Ravens won their fourth straight game with a hard-fought victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 6.

Here’s the Report Card:

Offense

Quarterback — Lamar Jackson had another MVP-caliber performance. He was 20-for-26 for 323 yards with a touchdown and an interception for a 114.7 passer rating. Jackson also ran for 40 yards on 11 carries. Grade: A

Running back — Teams stack the box to stop Derrick Henry, but it’s been a faulty strategy. Henry ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. He also helped seal the win with a late 27-yard run. Overall, the Ravens ran for 176 yards. Grade: A

Wide receivers/tight ends — The Ravens have done a solid job getting open for Jackson. Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers caught nine passes for a career-high 132 yards. Tight end Mark Andrews also had his best game of the season with three catches for 66 yards with a touchdown. Andrews now has 41 career touchdowns, tying Todd Heap for the most in franchise history. Rashod Bateman had another solid game with four catches for 71 yards. Grade: A

Offensive line — The Ravens have started the same offensive line for three consecutive weeks — left tackle Ronnie Stanley, left guard Patrick Mekari, center Tyler Linderbaum, right guard Daniel Faalele and right tackle Roger Rosengarten. This unit had some struggles with pre-snap penalties, Rosengarten was beaten badly for a sack, and Linderbaum botched a snap. But this unit has grit and toughness. Grade: B

Defense

Linebackers — This unit played mostly solid, but they did have some coverage issues in the middle of the field. Roquan Smith was second on the team with five tackles, and Tavius Robinson had two quarterback hits. The Ravens do need more production from Odafe Oweh. Newly signed Yannick Ngakoue has been a force and finished with a sack. Grade: B

Defensive line — The Commanders had no room to run the ball against the Ravens’ stout front seven. Washington finished with 52 yards on 18 carries. Michael Pierce and Nnamdi Madubuike had a half-sack. Travis Jones had another solid game with a sack, two tackles for a loss, and a quarterback hit. Grade: A

Secondary — Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was 24-for-35 for 269 yards with two touchdowns. The Ravens had trouble containing wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who caught six passes for 53 yards with two touchdowns. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey led the team with eight tackles. Safety Kyle Hamilton had a couple of bone-jarring hits. However, safety Ar’Darius Washington and cornerback Nate Wiggins could not corral potential interceptions. Grade: B-

Special teams – Kicker Justin Tucker is back to his old self and converted field goals from 45, 32, and 39 yards. Jordan Stout wasn’t very busy with one punt for 50 yards. Justice Hill returned a kickoff for 32 yards. Grade: A

Coaching — The Ravens emerged with another impressive win. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken has the offense revved up. Defensive coordinator Zach Orr bounced back from a challenging performance last week in Cincinnati. John Harbaugh was solid in managing the game. Grade: A
