Ravens acquiring Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson
OWINGS MILLS — The Ravens are boosting their passing attack by acquiring Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson.
Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta was able to land Johnson and a sixth-round pick in 2025 for a fifth-round selection in next year’s draft.
Johnson, 28, has caught 30 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns this season and will provide quarterback Lamar Jackson with another downfield threat. The Ravens’ wide receivers have struggled with drops over the past few weeks and Johnson is a dependable pass-catcher.
The Ravens have the NFL’s fifth-ranked passing attack with 252.1 yards per game.
Johnson was selected with the No. 66 overall pick in the third round by the Pittsburgh Steelers from Toledo back in 2019. He was traded to Carolina in exchange for cornerback Donte Jackson before the 2024 season.
