Ravens won’t have to deal with NFL’s touchdown leader

BALTIMORE — The Ravens have one less playmaker to worry about when they face the Dolphins in a key AFC matchup on Sunday.

Miami running back Raheem Mostert will be inactive because of knee and ankle injuries, according to multiple reports. Mostert leads the NFL with 18 rushing touchdowns and is fourth in the league with a career-high 1,012 rushing yards. He is tied with Christian McCaffrey for first in the NFL with 21 total touchdowns.

The Dolphins have rookie De’Von Achane (637 yards rushing) and Jeff Wilson Jr. (122 yards rushing) behind Mostert on the depth chart. The Ravens are ranked 12th in the NFL against the run, allowing 103.4 yards per game.

Miami also officially ruled out wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (1,014 yards receiving) with an ankle injury. Waddle caught 11 passes for 171 yards and two scores against Baltimore last year.

Cornerback and special teams player Jalyn Armour-Davis was the only player ruled out for the Ravens. Armour-Davis (concussion) was officially placed on injured reserve and finished the regular season with six tackles in eight games.

Wide receiver Zay Flowers (calf), safety Kyle Hamilton (knee), linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips (shoulder), cornerback Brandon Stephens (ankle), and guard Kevin Zeitler (knee/quad) entered the game listed as questionable.

The winner of the Ravens and Dolphins will take over the No. 1 seed for the AFC playoffs.

The Dolphins can clinch the AFC East title with a victory over the Ravens or a loss Sunday by the Buffalo Bills (9-6).

Roster moves

Baltimore signed wide receiver Laquon Treadwell to the 53-man roster from the practice squad before the game against Miami. Treadwell had used up his three practice squad elevations.

The Ravens also elevated outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon and defensive back Andrew Adams from the practice squad for the game against Miami.
