OWINGS MILLS — The Ravens have one of the NFL’s most challenging schedules next season, but at least they won’t have far to travel.

The Ravens will amass 15,424 travel miles for an average distance of 1,713.77 miles across a total of 12 time zones, according to the RedZone. That ranks 22nd in the NFL. The Los Angeles Chargers will travel the most miles with 26803 2978, followed by the Miami Dolphins (25869).

Last season, the Ravens traveled 25,442 miles for an average distance of 3,180.25. The Ravens traveled to California twice, including a game on Christmas night in San Francisco, and a road trip to Arizona.

This season, the Ravens have only one trip to the West Coast — a prime-time game against the Chargers on November 25th.  The Ravens are the first NFL team to play back-to-back road games on Christmas when they travel to Houston at 4:30 p.m. on December 25th.

Still, the Ravens are dealing with a tough slate of games.

Based on 2023 regular-season records, Baltimore’s 2024 strength of schedule projects as the NFL’s second toughest, with its opponents combining for a .536 (155-134) winning percentage.

The Ravens will compete in an NFL-high 10 games against 2023 playoff teams — Browns twice, Steelers twice, Bills, Buccaneers, Chiefs, Cowboys, Eagles, and Texans.

After the bye in Week 14, the Ravens will play three games in 11 days — at Giants (December 15th), vs. Steelers (December 21st), at Texans (December 25th), and vs. Browns (TBD).

In addition, three of the Ravens’ four October games are on the road —Cincinnati (October 6th),  Tampa October 21st) and Cleveland (October 27th).

The Ravens will play. both of their Monday Night Football games on the road against Tampa Bay (October 21st) and the Chargers (November 25th). Of the 22 Monday night games under coach John Harbaugh, 18 have been scheduled on the road.
